Faustino Bernadett and Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett have been dedicated supporters of the Assistance League of Long Beach, an organization committed to empowering and transforming lives through meaningful community programs. One of these programs, CAMEO, provides mentoring and resources to help high-achieving students from underserved backgrounds in Long Beach Unified School District high schools and Long Beach City College. Through one-on-one guidance and support, the program helps students reach their potential.


CAMEO Fashion Show 2025


On March 29, 2025, Martha will be honored as a Philanthropic Partner of the Year at the CAMEO Fashion Show, Luncheon & Fundraiser, alongside George Pla. Her contributions to CAMEO will not only impact current students but also future generations.


Tino Bernadett’s Connection to CAMEO


Dr. Faustino Bernadett and Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett were introduced to CAMEO through Dr. Martha Molina Bernadett’s aunt, Rosi Pedersen, who was a long-time and dedicated member of the group. Rosi was instrumental in the organization, serving as chair for two terms and helping to shape the direction and impact of CAMEO.

Through its monthly enrichment workshops, cultural activities, paid summer internships with local businesses, and financial assistance for scholarships, computer equipment, and school supplies, CAMEO ensures that students have the resources they need to succeed. The program’s mentoring outreach also plays a critical role in helping students build confidence, develop life skills, and stay focused on their academic and personal growth, empowering them to thrive both now and in the future.

The Assistance League of Long Beach runs several philanthropic programs, including offering affordable orthodontic care and new school uniforms for children in need, as well as providing scholarships to students at California State University, Long Beach, and Long Beach City College. With over 800 members, the Assistance League of Long Beach is the largest chapter of the organization. Since its founding in 1940, it has been dedicated to serving the Long Beach community. The committees of the Assistance League of Long Beach continue to support a range of programs that make a meaningful difference.
